This earliest Math centre in Kerala was started in 1913 and was being managed by an independent committee since then, except for a few years in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Its management was taken over by the Ramakrishna Math in 2008.
Activities of the Math centre :
Daily worship and religious classes in and around the town.
Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada
Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual luminaries.
Welfare work by way of providing pecuniary help and educational
help to students.
