This centre, started in 1959, is housed in the mansion where
Swami Vivekananda stayed twice as the honoured guest of the Raja of
Khetri.
Activities of the Mission centre :
A primary school with 50 children.
Six tailoring training centres with 120 girls and one
computer training centre with 195 students.
A library and a reading room with 4385 books, and 39 periodicals
and dailies.
A homeopathic dispensary in which 1670 patients were treated;
Twelve eye camps were conducted (1675 patients were screened,
out of which 550 were operated upon) and child eye care project
at fifty-six schools in Khetri (12,074 students were screened).
Recitation and music competitions for school children.
Welfare work by way of distribution of blankets, winter
garments, etc to the poor.
Religious activities : Lectures and meetings in and outside Khetri,
and celebration of the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy
Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious
personalities.
A free coaching centre with 100 students.
