The Vidyapith was started in 1958.
Activities of the Mission centre :
A higher secondary school (roll strength 667). The attached
school library had 33,163 books and 79 periodicals during the
year. Its hostel had 662 boarders.
Seven coaching centre for 377 poor children of the locality.
A mobile audio-visual unit, which screened 75 films,
benefitting 34,950 villagers.
A charitable allopathic-cum-homoeopathic dispensary, which
treated 41,691 patients this year.
A miniature zoo and an archaeological and science museum.
A dairy and a poultry farm.
Religious activities: Regular religious discourses, and celebration
of the birthdays of spiritual luminaries.
