The Mission centre was started in 1907.
The Math centre was started in 1965.
Activities of the Math centre :
A library (with students’ section) with 8943 books, and 40
newspapers and periodicals.
Cultural programmes such as debates and other competitions
for school and college students.
Welfare work by way of giving financial and other types of help
to the widows and other needy people.
Daily worship, bhajans, fortnightly Ramnam and Shyamnam
Sankirtan, lectures, etc.
Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother
Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious
Activities of the Mission centre :
A 165-bed hospital with 139 free beds and medical, surgical, paediatric, ICU, Haemodialysis unit, dermatology, eye, ENT, dental, maternity, physiotherapy, gynaecology, cardiology, psychiatry, orthopaedic, radiology and pathology departments. This year’s admissions were 8732.
A dispensary with allopathic, homoeopathic and ayurvedic
sections, which treated 2,79,955 cases.
Rural development project, under which (a) a mobile medical
unit treated 43,547 patients, (b) general awareness and health
education were imparted through community health
programmes, and (c) eye and other medical camps were
conducted in nearby villages.
Three free coaching classes for 375 slum children who were
also provided with tiffin, books and stationeries.
A school of nursing recognized by Uttar Pradesh State Nursing
Council, with 88 students for general nursing and midwifery
Dairy, agricultural farms and cultivation of medicinal herbs.
Welfare activities such as providing food, books, clothing,
pecuniary help, etc to the poor and needy, benefiting 44,976
people. Rs. 15,25,951 was spent for these during the year.

‘Ma Sarada Kutir’ : This place earlier known as Kalababu’s
Kunj belonged to the family of Sri Balaram Bose, one of the chief lay
disciples of Sri Ramakrishna where Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi
stayed for a year after the passing away of the Master. It was also
sanctified by the stay of almost all monastic disciples of Sri
Ramakrishna. After extensive renovation work it has now been
renamed ‘Ma Sarada Kutir’. The sevashrama had its humble beginning
here with a small homoeopathic dispensary in 1907.
Activities at ‘Ma Sarada Kutir’ :
a. A memorial building having Holy Mother’s shrine.
b. A meditation hall.
c. A permanent exhibition on the Holy Trio.
