This centre was started in 1927 and made a branch of the Mission in 1930.
Activities :
- A library with separate sections for children and university students. It had 39,845 general books (13,297 issued this year), and 179 newspapers and periodicals. The section for university students had 7505 textbooks (504 issued this year).
- A homoeopathic dispensary, which treated 20,648 cases (new 8640) during the year.
- A mobile medical unit, which treated 21,672 cases this year.
- A modern free TB clinic at Karol Bagh (Arya Samaj Road, New Delhi - 110005), which treated 24,935 outpatient cases (new 6993) this year. Under the home treatment scheme, the clinic extended its medical services to patients unable to attend in person, through their contacts.
- A medical diagnostic centre in the clinic premises, providing specialist consultancy services. It served 50,402 patients during the year.
- Religious activities : There were 204 religious discourses on weekdays and Sundays in the ashrama this year. Moreover, 85 occasional lectures were delivered in various cultural institutions. Regular Sunday classes were held at Delhi University. Besides, the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, and Swami Vivekananda were celebrated at the ashrama and in other localities in Delhi.
