This centre was started in 1985 for the uplift of the tribal people of Abujhmarh.

Activities :

  1. A residential school with 645 students, mostly tribal.
  1. A multipurpose training centre, which trained 17 villagers in agriculture, horticulture, etc.
  1. An agriculture training-cum-demonstration farm, which conducted 60 camps, training 1592 farmers.
  1. A library with 8710 books and 44 periodicals.
  1. A mobile audio-visual unit.
  1. Vivekananda Arogya Dham, a 30-bed hospital, which treated 5059 inpatients and 27,368 outpatients (new 12,168).

  1. A mobile dispensary, which treated 5552 patients besides 172 TB cases.
  1. Community health services in 175 villages.
  1. Seven fair-price shops.
  1. Five tribal service centres at Kutul, Irakbhatti, Kundla, Kachchapal and Akabeda, each of which runs a primary/middle school with an attached hostel (total strength: 568 students) and a health post (28,431 patients treated). Besides, 10 eye camps (142 operations done) and 1 dental camp (55 patients treated) were conducted by these centres and a horticulture farm is maintained.
  1. Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other saints.
