Started in 1921, this ashrama has reconstructed Sarisha village by providing proper education to villagers.

Activities :

  1. A boys' madhyamik school with 1069 students, and a hostel with 229 boys, of whom 30 enjoyed concession.
  1. A girls' madhyamik school with 909 students and a hostel with 185 girls, of whom 13 enjoyed concession.
  1. Four units of junior basic school with a total of 344 boys and 331 girls.

  1. Two units of primary teachers' training institute for women, with 156 trainees.
  1. A vocational section, which trained 54 women in weaving and embroidery crafts.
  1. A library with two branches: 24,043 books and 11 newspapers and periodicals.
  1. Medical service for rural people in collaboration with Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata, and a homoeopathic dispensary which treated 9278 cases (new 7966).
  1. A community centre for women with 111 trainees.
  1. A mobile audio-visual unit.
  1. Religious activities : Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious personalities.
