Founded in 1906, this ashrama remained a sub-centre of the Bangalore (Bull Temple Road) centre till December 1998. It was made a full-fledged branch of the Ramakrishna Math in January 1999.
Activities :
- A library and a reading room with 5435 books and 15 periodicals.
- General medical camps (4355 patients treated) and eye camps (4622 patients treated).
- Rural welfare activities : Bi-weekly medical camps (4597 patients treated this year) and coaching classes in nearby villages.
- Yuvaka Sangha and Balaka Sangha, cultural and recreational centres for young men and boys respectively.
- Daily worship and bhajans, weekly discourses, and retreats.
- Celebration of the birth anniversaries of religious celebrities.
- Relief and welfare work by way of distribution of milk and notebooks to school children, clothes etc. to poor, construction of water tanks, etc.
